AFFORDABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES
Pre-Applications are currently being accepted for affordable rental apartments located in the Avery Townhome Apartments development. Applications will be accepted until April 2, 2012 . Click below to submit electronically or to download an application. The rental housing is available to low- and moderate-income households. The Avery Townhome Apartments are located at the intersection of Route 130 & Pennypacker Drive in Willingboro, NJ. Six affordable apartments (One and Two Bedroom units)will be ready for occupancy by July, 2012. Additional affordable units, including three bedroom units, will be available in 2013. All qualified pre-applications will be entered into a lottery to be held on April 6, 2012. Applicants selected through the lottery will be required to submit income documentation, and pass a credit check in order to qualify. The application process is currently open for purchasing affordable two to four bedroom homes. The homes are located in Burlington City and Paulsboro and are priced starting at $80,000. Families earning between 50% and 120% of the area's median income are eligible to apply; a family of four can earn up to $93,350. Applicants will be required to have a minimum credit score of 620 (with no recent judgments or bankruptcies) in order to obtain mortgage pre-approval. The application process for new low and moderate income two bedroom age-restricted homes in the Gatherings at East Greenwich is now open. The units are located in the Gatherings at East Greenwich active adult community on Jubilee Drive. In order to be eligible for an age-restricted affordable housing unit, applicants must meet certain income limits as required by the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing AND at least one member of the household must be at least 55 years of age.
